Vice President Leni Robredo didn’t escape the eyes of the netizens when she appeared disinterested and looking down while everyone was giving tribute and singing the national anthem during President Rodrigo Duterte’s third SONA.
Disinterested
Malcolm Conlan, a foreigner and vocal Duterte supporter couldn’t help but notice how disinterested VP Leni was during the national anthem portion of the SONA.
He started by apologizing because he just might be ignorant and he just might not understand, but he said that he thought that a leader of the Philippines, not less then the Vice President herself should know the words to our National Anthem.
He pointed out that the VP looked like she was disinterested and looking down.
Assumptions
He also mentioned that of course, nobody can force anyone to sing if they don’t want to.
However, according to Conlan,
you would have thought that at an event of such national importance, the deputy leader of the country, should maybe lead by example?
In the end, he hinted that maybe she was dreaming of the time where she could one day deliver her own SONA, to which some netizens approved.
